Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Daytona State College sports teams have several games this week.

ERAU men's soccer will face Palm Beach Altantic at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20 and Lynn at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23.

ERAU volleyball will face Florida Southern at 4 p.m. Saturday Oct. 16.

The Volusia County high school football season continues.

All games are at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, unless otherwise noted. Games may change, though, with the Covid-19 pandemic continuing. Here's what's scheduled:

Surf Fishing Challenge

Surf Fishing Challenge from the Beaches will be Friday, Oct. 22, and Saturday, Oct. 23, with meet up at Lost Lagoon Wings & Grill, 2004 N. Dixie Freeway, New Smyrna Beach.

Targets will be red fish, whiting, bluefish and pompano.

Angler's meeting at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22. The sponsor party will be at noon Saturday. Oct. 23.

Table tennis challenge

The East Volusia/Flager Fellowship of Christian Athletes will host “Talk of the Town” table tennis challenge 2021 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at Warner Christian Academy Gym, 1730 S. Ridgewood Ave., South Daytona.

The competition will start at 10 a.m. with opening prayer and signing of “God Bless America”.

At 10:15 a.m., South Dayona Police Chief Mark Cheatham vs. Flagler Beach Police Capt. Lance Blanchette.

At 11 a.m., Crossroads Church Youth Director Clayton Proctor vs. Providence Church Youth Pastor Jesse Herbruck and Chris Maiocco of Coastal Bible Fellowship vs. Jay Gibson of First Baptist Daytona Beach.

At noon, coaches vs. coaches. At 1 p.m. athletes vs. athletes.

This is a free event.

Memorial benefits junior golfers

The 19th Annual Jane Cerrone Memorial Golf Tournament will be 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at the LPGA International Jones Course, 1000 Champions Drive, Daytona Beach.

Registration and continental breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m.

Entry fee is $100 per person, which includes golf, breakfast, lunch, range balls, special events, prizes and commemorative tournament gift. There will be an optional 50/50 and raffle.

The tournament will benefit Junior Golf and First Tee programs in Volusia County.

Golf tourney for St. Judes

Pars and a Purpose Golf Tournament will be at 8:30 .am. Saturday, Oct. 23, at Crane Lakes, 1850 Crane Lakes Blvd., Port Orange.

Registration will start at 7 a.m. Award luncheon will be at 2 p.m. The cost is $100 per player or $400 per team. Fee includes barbecue slider breakfast at Turn, greens fee, range balls, two drink tickets and awards luncheon.

There will be first, second, third and fourth place prizes and four closest to pin $100 gift certificates

Italian Awards Luncheon will be from 2 to 6 p.m. in the ballroom. Stir it Up Music Duo will perform. Lunch only is $30.

Proceeds benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Wild Florida 5K

Conservation Florida's Wild Florida 5K will be from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 23, at D Ranch Preserve 2655 Reed Ellis Road, Osteen.

Participants will get a first look at the wildly beautiful 476-acre preserve before it is opened to the public.

The New Smyrna Beach Barracudas girls swim team defeated Matanzas 89 to 81 in a swim meet Oct. 6.
