Fishing Club’s 2020 Tournament

The Halifax Sport Fishing Club’s 2020 Tournament schedule will include a kayak tournament.

The 20th Annual Offshore Challenge will run March 21 to April 4 in which participants fish any two days during those dates.

The 32nd Annual Lady Angler will be June 6 and the first kayak tournament will be Aug. 8.

Running with the Chromies

The sixth annual Running with the Chromies 10K/5K and 1 Mile Fun Walk and Spring Festival will be from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at Gemini Springs Park, 37 Dirksen Drive, DeBary.

The event is in honor of World Down Syndrome Day.

The cost of the 10K is $40, and the 5K is $30. There is a free one mile fun run.

The Running with the Chromies 10and 5K race course has been certified by the USA Track & Field.

Lions Club golf tourney

The Ponce Inlet Lions Club will host its annual golf tournament at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, March 28, at Cypress Head Golf Course, 6231Palm Vista St., Port Orange.

The cost is $85 per person, which includes continental breakfast, goodie bags, golf, range balls, beverage, lunch and prizes.

The tournament benefits Paws for Patriots and RJ Longstreet Elementary School.

Rotary golf tourney

The Rotary Club of Port Orange-South Daytona 20th Annual Golf Tournament will be 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at Cypress Head Golf Course 6231 Palm Vista St., Port Orange.

Proceeds support charities, such as the Community Partnership for Children, the selected charity for this year’s tournament.

Entry fee will conclude goodie bags, tee gift, golf range balls, premium Luncheon and prizes.

Play shuffleboard

The Ormond Beach Shuffleboard Club meets at 1 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (weather permitting) at the Ormond Beach Sports Complex at 700 Hull Road.

Shuffleboard courts are near the playground area. Membership with unlimited access to courts is $15 per year.

Fishing Challenge

Roy's Surf Fishing Guide Service will host a Surf Fishing Challenge Friday, April 3, and Saturday, April 4, at Lost Lagoon, 2004 N. Dixie Freeway, New Smyrna Beach.

Participants will be on the hunt for pompano, bluefish and whiting.

The cost to register online is $35 or $40 at angler's meeting. A $400 payout for the biggest catch of each fish.

Southeast Volusia 5K Chamber Challenge

The eighth annual Southeast Volusia 5K Chamber Challenge will be 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at 115 Canal St., New Smyrna Beach.

Entry is $30 before March 22, $35 after March 22, $40 day of race, $20 for children 12 and younger.

The Redneck Tennis Club for seniors 55 and older plays tennis at 7:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Detwiler Park, 701 Horton Ave., New Smyrna Beach.
