Pictona offers Rec Games 101

Pictona is offering Rec Games 101, a free clinic from 10 a.m. to noon Fridays at 1060 Ridgewood Ave, Holly Hill.

The two-hour, hands-on instruction will teach how to play shuffleboard, Bocce Ball, horseshoes and croquet.

Both members and non-members are welcome; children younger the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants should wear athletic shoes and comfortable clothing.

Nova Community Center

Nova Community Center is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 1 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at 440 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach.

Pickleball is offered in the mornings Monday to Saturday. Basketball is offered evenings Monday to Saturday. Only basketball is played Sunday.

Reservations are necessary. The cost is free for Ormond Beach residents with proof of residency or $4 daily charge or yearly membership for non-residents.

South Ormond Neighborhood Center

South Ormond Neighborhood Center is open from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at 176 Division Ave., Ormond Beach.

The center has baseball fields, outdoor tennis and basketball.

Ormond Beach Tennis Center

Ormond Beach Tennis Center is open from 8 a.m. to noon and 3 to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday at 38 E. Granada Blvd.

The center features eight lighted clay tennis courts. Monthly memberships or daily court rentals available.

Yoga in the Gallery

Yoga in the Gallery will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Art, 352 S. Nova Road, Daytona Beach.

Advance registration is required. Meet in the lobby to join Ashley Brooks, a registered yoga instructor with Holistic Movements. Class is open to all experience levels.

Participants should bring a mat, towel and water. Space is limited and registration is required. Admission is $5 for members and $10 for non-members.

Cool off at the Daytona Beach pools

Get a break from the heat by taking a refreshing swim at the Campbell Aquatic Center, 400 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., or the Cypress Aquatic Center, 981 George W. Engram Blvd.

Visitors will have their temperature checked before being allowed into each facility and should adhere to social distancing. People who are sick, coughing or do not feel well should not enter. Groups are restricted to 10 or less people.

Zumba offered

A free sunset Zumba class, taught by Tiffany Rosengrant, owner of Pozzyvibes, will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Riverwalk Park, 3459 Ridgewood Ave., Port Orange.

Class is open to all abilities and ages of children and adults.
