Daytona Beach

Daytona Beach’s summer camp program will be Monday, June 7, to Friday, Aug. 6, with safety protocols in place due to the pandemic.

The nine-week program is for children ages 5 to 16 years old and will be from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday (closed Monday, July 5). Breakfast and lunch, sports, crafts and games are provided. Camp participation is reduced to 50% occupancy and there are no field trips planned.

There are four sites:

•Midtown Community Center, 925 George W. Engram Blvd.

•Schnebly Recreation Center, 1101 N. Atlantic Ave.

•Sunnyland Park, 825 Washington St.

•YSG Community Center, 1000 Vine St.

Registration is open to after-school participants until Friday, April 30, at the city’s Leisure Services office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. Registration for the general public will begin Monday, May 3. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration fee has been waived. The cost for the nine-week program is $270 per participant. A payment plan of $30 per week is available. Volusia County Summer Scholarship vouchers, when available, will be accepted.

Volusia County

Volusia County’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Division will host summer camps for children ages 5-13 in the Daytona Beach area from Monday, June 14 through Friday, July 30. The camps will be offered from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

East Volusia sites are:

•David C. Hinson Sr. Middle School, 1860 N. Clyde Morris Blvd.

•Turie T. Small Elementary School, 800 South St.

•RJ Longstreet Elementary School, 2745 S. Peninsula Drive

West Volusia sites are:

•Gemini Springs Park, 37 Dirksen Drive, DeBary

•DeBary Hall Historic Site, 198 Sunrise Blvd.

•Orange City Elementary, 555 E. University Ave.

•Chisholm Community Center, 520 S. Clara Ave., DeLand

•Boy Scout Hut, 716 N. Frankfort Ave., DeLand

•Taylor T. Dewitt Middle-High School, 100 E. Washington Ave., Pierson

Camp scholarships

Summer camp scholarships are available to income-eligible children through Volusia County’s Community Assistance Division.

Scholarship applications will be accepted electronically starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, April 14. To submit an electronic application, visitwww.volusia.org/community_assistance/applications. Halifax Humane Society

The Haifax Humane Society will host its PAWS Summer Break Camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday, June 14 to Aug. 13 at 2364 LPGA Blvd., Daytona Beach,

All camps are for children ages 6 to 13 and are one week. The cost is $125 per week. All proceeds benefit community animals. Space is limited.

Lunch is available from Jimmy Johns. Order when you register for camp. Masks are required to be worn when inside, except when eating.

MOAS Institute

The Museum of Arts & Sciences will host its 2021 Summer Learning Institute June 14 to Aug. 6, at 352 S. Nova Road, Daytona Beach.

Classes will be for students ages 4 to 13. Class sizes have been reduced.

ACA Art Camp

Atlantic Center for the Arts Summer Art Camp will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday to Friday.

This year’s theme is Tour the World from New Smyrna Beach.

The camp will be at ACA Harris House and Yurick Studios in downtown New Smyrna Beach. Class sizes are limited.

The cost is $105 for members and $130 for non-members.

The Hub on Canal

Summer camp will be Monday, June 7, to Monday, July 12.

Morning camps for children ages 6-11 will be Monday to Thursday, beginning June 14.

Afternoon camps for teens ages 12 and older are Monday to Thursday, beginning June 7.

For member parents, camp is $110 per week. For non-member parents, camp $130 per week. Scholarships are available.

Gateway Center for the Arts

Registration for summer camps are underway at Gateway Center for the Arts, 880 N. U.S. 17/92, DeBary.

Camps start June 7 and end Aug. 6. Full-day camp will meet from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $175 non-members or $165 members. Half-day sessions are from 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m. The cost is $100 for non-members or $90 for members. Students must be registered two weeks prior to camp.

Theatre camps for ages 6 to 18 will meet from June 7 to Aug. 6. Each camp is two weeks and will meet 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $350 for non-members or $330 for members.
