Team Volusia annual meeting

The annual meeting of Team Volusia, the county's public-private economic development partnership, will be from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at the Mori Hosseini Center at Daytona State College, 1200 W. International Speedway Blvd.

The guest speaker will be Scott Henderson, Orbital Launch Site Director, of aerospace firm Blue Origin.

The cost is $75 for members and $100 for non-members, or $800 for a table.

The West Volusia Branch NAACP in partnership with CareerSource Flagler/Volusia will host Career MELT: A Common Sense Career Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday Jan. 25, at The Center at Deltona, 1640 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd.

The free event is open to all businesses.

The organization is seeking participation from corporations of all sizes, small local businesses and companies with skilled trade jobs. Employers with programs to pay for education, training, licenses and certifications also are welcome.

Chamber sets annual installation reception

DeLand Area Chamber of Commerce and Orange City Alliance will present the annual installation reception at 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, at the Athens Theater, 124 N. Florida Ave., DeLand.

In honor of the chamber celebrating 130 years, members of 25 years or more will be presented a Legacy Award and induction into the Chamber Legacy Circle.
