The Boardwalk Merchants and Friends of the Bandshell will present All Night Long and Hotter Than July, Lionel Richie, Commodores, and Stevie Wonder tributes, at 7:15 p.m. Saturday, July 17, at the Daytona Beach Bandshell, 70 Boardwalk.
All Night Long, a Lionel Richie/Commodores tribute band is a six to 10 piece band fronted by global vocal coach and keys madman, Gerry Williams. Mr. Williams gives all due respect to the music of Lionel Richie and brings an authentic and respected jam of Mr. Richie's best.
Relive Mr. Richie's soulful chart topping hits, such as “Brick House” and “Easy Like Sunday Morning” from the Commodores days, to solo hits like “All Night Long,” and beautiful ballads like “Hello” and “Penny Lover.”
Hotter Than July, a Stevie Wonder Tribute Band, will perform Stevie Wonder’s greatest hits from “Sign, Sealed, Delivered” to “I Wish.” The band believes in spreading positivity and love at their shows. They'll fill the Bandshell with high energy music that will have everyone on their feet and wrap up the concert in a good mood.
Stevie Wonder is portrayed by the incredible Mr. Williams who is an industry veteran vocal coach. Work in artist development has garnered him the reputation as the “boy band guy” since the onset of the pop groups that emerged in the mid '90s. Several of his vocal students are Grammy and Dove Award winners, including Mandy Moore, Jordan Knight of New Kids on the Block, Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees and Chris Kirkpatrick of N’Sync.
Mr. Williams has been featured as a vocal coach on reality TV shows, such as “Mission Man Band” and “Big in America,” and has produced and written songs for Jordan Knight, and C’Note.
There will be fireworks after the show.
