Country star Chase Rice will perform Friday, Nov. 20 and Saturday, Nov.21 at the Bandshell in Daytona Beach.

Country star Chase Rice will perform two shows during Live! at the Bandshell Series this weekend.

The first show will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, and a second show will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov.21. Both shows are at the Bandshell in Daytona Beach.

Born in Ormond Beach and raised on a farm in North Carolina, Mr. Rice went to the University of North Carolina to pursue his career as a football linebacker. After an injury ended his football career, Mr. Rice found his passion in music. His father always encouraged him to play the guitar and write his own songs. Ultimately, after his father’s passing, making music helped Mr. Rice cope with his feelings and emotions during this difficult time in his life.

After college, Mr. Rice joined NASCAR as a pit crew member where he won two championships with his team and later became a contestant on the television show “Survivor: Nicaragua,” where he won second place. However, in his heart he wanted to continue his music and after a couple of independent album releases of his own, Mr. Rice signed a major label deal.

He first climbed charts as a co-writer of Florida Georgia Line’s monster hit “Cruise,” the historic 24-week No. 1 that perched atop the Billboard Hot Country Chart longer than any other song in the chart’s then-69-year history. In 2014, Mr. Rice broke through as an artist: “Ignite the Night” yielded Top 5 singles “Ready, Set, Roll” and “Gonna Wanna Tonight,” which he followed in 2017 with the acclaimed “Lambs & Lions” before ultimately earning his first No. 1 single as an artist, 2019’s two-week chart-topper “Eyes On You.”

Mr. Rice released his new album “The Album Part II” in 2020. His current single “Lonely If You Are” is one of the top-played songs in the country. He Rice will play his hits in an intimate acoustic performance.

The concert will be conducted with social distancing and health screening protocols including requiring all guests to wear face coverings when in the venue, complete a Covid-19 screening questionnaire and to have their temperature checked before entrance to the venue, among other requirements. Tickets will be sold in pairs.
