The Little Theatre of New Smyrna Beach will perform “How the Other Half Loves” select days from May 6 to 16 at 726 S. Third St., New Smyrna Beach.
The Little Theatre's production of “How the Other Half Loves” is directed by Rip Pellaton.
This famous farce by British playwright Alan Ayckbourn focuses on three couples. The men all work for the same company, and one of the younger men is having an affair with the wife of the oldest. When each returns home suspiciously late one night (or early one morning), they invent a story about having to spend some time smoothing domestic matters in the home of the third couple.
Both living rooms are shown in the single set and both share a common dining room, which takes on a character of its own as it serves two dinners simultaneously on two different nights. Of course, the third couple shows up to put the fat in the fire, but that complication only adds to the fun in this hilarious play.
The Little Theatre will be following all current federal and state Covid-19 prevention guidelines, including social distancing and face masks. Due to these restrictions, seating capacity is reduced and there will be general admission tickets only for our shows.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $19 for seniors and $10 for juniors. Tickets may be purchased online at nsbplayers.org or by phone at (386) 423-1246. Tickets may also be purchased in person on Fridays at the box office from 1 to 4 p.m. and two hours prior to every performance.
