Wine and chocolate walk

Jim Jaworski of the Daytona Tortugas pours a glass of wine for Peggy Pacha, left, and Amy Layne, both of Daytona Beach Shores during the annual Wine & Chocolate Walk in Downtown Daytona Beach.

All you need is love and a little wine and chocolate and a Saturday afternoon in Downtown Daytona Beach.

The ninth annual Wine 'N Chocolate Walk will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, on Beach Street.

Attendees can spend the afternoon strolling through the Riverfront Shops of Daytona Beach, visiting 18 different merchants and enjoying live music, all while sampling fine red and white wines and decadent chocolate goodies served by participating merchants.

The Wine 'N Chocolate Walk will have two check-in points where attendees will receive their passport, wine glass and beverage tickets:

•Nitro Cream Cafe, 240 S. Beach St.

•Tia Cori's Tacos, 214 N. Beach St.

Advance tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased at Purely CBD of Daytona Beach, 204 N. Beach St. or at wineandchocolatewalk.eventbrite.com through Thursday, Feb. 6.

Tickets after Feb. 6 are $25 per person. Tickets will be available at the website until 11:30 p.m. Friday, Feb 7, as well as at both check-in stations at the event until sell-out.

Wine 'N Chocolate Walk is presented by Brown & Brown Insurance and sponsored by Daytona Toyota, Downtown Development Authority, Urbanista Realty and Hometown News.

Note the Beach Street streetscape renovations are underway, but easy access to the street with plenty of free parking in front of and behind the Riverfront Shops are still available. Must be 21 to participate, proper ID required. This is a rain or shine event.
